Job Summary:

The Department of Nursing at Avera McKennan requires all nurses to practice at a competent level of nursing care and demonstrate a competent and professional level of behavior in their role as a RN.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care for patients with heart and pulmonary illnesses.
  • Step-down unit from the ICU.
  • Education and/or Experience:
    • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
    • Certification in specialty encouraged.
    • Membership in a professional organization encouraged.
  • Work Schedule:
    • Day/Night Shifts; PRN (as needed).
  • Pay:
    • The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
    • $46.50 per hour.
