Job OverviewWe're seeking a Hospital Veterinarian to join our team at our full-service Vetco Total Care hospital in Huntersville. As a critical member of our veterinary team, you'll provide exceptional patient care, lead by example, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver outstanding results.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care through physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.
- Develop treatment plans for patients undergoing day hospitalization and communicate effectively with referral hospitals.
- Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals.
- Participate in rounds, disseminate knowledge to staff, and maintain a professional attitude during emotional situations.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
- Active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located.
- Current DEA license and Controlled Substance License, if applicable.
- USDA Category I (minimum) Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a compassionate and sympathetic demeanor.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
