Job Summary
The Department of Corrections Executive Leadership is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated individual to fill the position of Adult Basic Education and Math Teacher at Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to the success of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a program of professional academic education and services to students in the area of Adult Basic Education and Math.
- Complete required documentation, including student assessment and progress reports, and other reporting requirements.
- Monitor and manage student behavior, and attend staffing meetings.
- Participate in school and institution committees, and provide training to other staff and interns as needed.
- Engage in specialized instruction and special projects, and provide evidence of meeting Faculty Quality Assurance System (FQAS) competencies.
Requirements
- Minimally qualified applicants must meet criteria determined by the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) in Mathematics (804) and Adult Basic Education (ABE).
- Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, including at least 20 semester credits in Math, and meet one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Elementary Education.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Secondary Education in the area of Reading, English, Math, Science, or Social Studies.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Special Education.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher with a minor or 15 combined semester credits in Math, Reading, English, Science, or Social Studies.
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States, and must pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
