Job Overview:
Northern Light Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team. As a key member of the Medical Surgical Unit, this individual will provide exceptional patient care and support to ensure the highest quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications or start intravenous fluids, noting times and amounts on patients' electronic medical records.
- Observe patients and report changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and take necessary action.
- Answer patients' calls and determine how to assist them.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration.
- Provide basic patient care or treatments, such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, or performing catheterizations.

Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Maine.
- BLS certification to be obtained prior to independently caring for patients and kept current.
- Graduate from an accredited LPN program or state-determined eligibility.
- 0 years' experience.

Working Conditions:
- Lifting, moving, and loading 30 to 50 pounds.
- Alternate shift schedules (day, evening, nights, weekends).
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
