We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at SpartanNash. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for completing maintenance projects and specialized maintenance needs within assigned areas. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills, as well as experience with food equipment and environmental issues.
Key Responsibilities- Complete maintenance projects and specialized maintenance needs within assigned areas in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure compliance with Company safety policies and legal compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor maintenance spend and provide expert technical knowledge within applicable role.
- Dismantle, install, and repair parts, electrical apparatus, mechanical and/or refrigeration systems and/or components equipment and machinery within assigned area.
- Assemble and test equipment/systems to ensure correction of necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED)
- Three years' experience with a combination of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.
- RETA certification preferred.
- Experience with food equipment strongly preferred.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal to communicate and/or document maintenance needs and status of projects.
- Basic math, writing and computer skills related to mechanic aptitude/maintenance.
