The Anduril suite of systems operates on Lattice OS, an AI-driven operating system that transforms multiple data streams into a real-time, three-dimensional command and control interface.


  • Anduril is leading the charge in swiftly deploying advanced autonomy, artificial intelligence, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technologies to military applications.

Role Summary

The Mission Autonomy team at Anduril is tasked with building a platform that enables the rapid creation of robust and interpretable behaviors for autonomous robotic teams. This includes managing Anduril's robots and integrating third-party systems across aerial, terrestrial, and maritime platforms to achieve strategic and safe task execution.


  • The team is responsible for the core C++ behavior tree execution framework, the APIs for behavior nodes, and a variety of behaviors that users can leverage to accelerate development.
  • APIs facilitate vehicle command, integrate with the Lattice operator tasking model, and provide abstractions for algorithms that effectively plan asset-task allocations and sensor management.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:


  • Deliver technical leadership within the team and to platform users by establishing best practice standards.
  • Collaborate with product managers and business line users to devise technical solutions, influence the product roadmap, and guide customer product utilization.
  • Work closely with partner teams to identify and resolve issues, fostering consensus and requiring a comprehensive understanding of the Lattice ecosystem.
  • Mentor and coach engineers to help them achieve their goals and progress in their careers.
  • Engage with a modern technology stack, including C++ and Python.

Essential Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess:


  • A solid foundation in computer science and software engineering principles.
  • Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex software projects on multiple occasions.
  • Proficiency in C++ or Rust, Python, and familiarity with a Linux environment.
  • Strong communication skills coupled with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • U.S. Person status to access export-controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include experience in programming language design, real-time and/or distributed systems, and AI/Robotics fields such as motion planning, sensor fusion, or multi-agent planning. Proficiency in mathematical problem-solving areas, including graph search and convex optimization, is advantageous.
