The team employs SAFe agile methodologies to provide comprehensive tools and applications that facilitate operational data discovery, exploitation, analytics, and visualization.

The ISSO will play a pivotal role in leading extensive data analysis initiatives, designing, and delivering both on-premises and cloud-based applications. As the principal advisor to the Information System Owner, Business Process Owner, and Chief Information Security Officer, you will oversee all aspects related to the security of information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee technical information assurance engineering tasks, including network/server scanning, patching, and compliance verification of network assets.
  • Possess a robust understanding of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) security analysis tools and government compliance checkers, along with familiarity with FISMA, DIACAP, NIST-800 SPs, and DCID 6/3 standards.
  • Evaluate products to fulfill client requirements and present findings effectively.
  • Provide tier two support and troubleshoot system security issues that may arise.
  • Act as the principal advisor on all security matters related to information systems.
  • Ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of security controls.
  • Develop and enforce necessary procedures to safeguard information system assets from unauthorized modifications or disclosures.
  • Guide other units on the physical protection of information systems.
  • Prepare reports for management on data security effectiveness and recommend new procedures as needed.
  • Assist in the review and development of documentation for the Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditation process.
  • Conduct self-inspections of network security.

Additionally, you will create and revise documentation that constitutes the ATO package, including the System Security Plan and Incident Response Plan. You will also generate Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) based on vulnerability assessments.

Qualifications:

• Active Top-Secret clearance required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years in security engineering, system security auditing, or penetration testing. Relevant certifications such as MCSA/Unix/Linux, CCNA, CompTIA-Network +, CompTIA-Security +, or CISSP are desirable.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Security, Engineering, or a related technical field.
