Job Title: Civil Superintendent

Join Kiewit's South-Central District as a Civil Superintendent and take on a challenging role overseeing civil project operations on power/energy construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects, managing teams, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee civil construction operations on power/energy construction projects.
  • Supervise and mentor direct reports to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Collaborate with design project teams to complete tasks and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage contract administration, including subcontractor/field management meetings and communication.
  • Develop and implement plans to maintain good client relations and ensure project completion and turnover.
  • Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
  • Review, approve, and negotiate change orders.
  • Ensure all performance evaluations are completed and documented in a timely fashion for direct reports.
Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of construction experience with experience working in a superintendent/leadership capacity supporting civil construction operations.
  • Experience supporting civil project functions on industrial and/or power construction projects.
  • Experience working on design-build construction projects and collaborating/communicating with design project teams.
  • Knowledge and experience leading/overseeing lime and cement stabilizations.
  • Ability to travel and/or relocate as needed to projects located in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and surrounding states.
  • Experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration.
