As a Mechanical Reliability Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the reliability and sustainability of our operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to showcase your technical expertise, effective communication skills, and ability to influence and negotiate.
Your Role in Creating Chemistry:
- Enhancing sustainable reliability performance by employing effective tools and methodologies that influence workplace culture, processes, and equipment systems.
- Providing expert technical support to Production and Maintenance teams in areas such as Criticality Analysis, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Maintainability Analysis, and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Monitoring and generating Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data for the proactive identification and resolution of reliability challenges.
- Leading the Mechanical Bad Actor Program to develop and implement sustainable solutions aimed at optimizing costs and improving asset effectiveness.
- Creating and refining equipment repair procedures and specifications to boost plant and equipment reliability while adhering to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) policies.
- Collaborating with Production and Maintenance teams to provide training and services related to operations, design reviews, repairs, and maintenance, including predictive and preventative maintenance activities.
- Offering technical assistance for troubleshooting issues and optimizing risk-based Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs.
- Driving cultural change and promoting continuous improvement through the application of LEAN Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Conducting root cause analyses of equipment failures and developing corrective actions to address identified issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering Discipline.
- Previous experience in maintenance or reliability engineering within an industrial environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with formal reliability programs such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
- Familiarity with rotating equipment installation and predictive maintenance techniques.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in CMMS software (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.
