Job Overview

The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in providing care for diverse patient populations undergoing surgical procedures. This position involves working in a dynamic environment with a variety of specialties.


Key Responsibilities:

The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in the operating room.
  • Collaborating with surgical teams across multiple specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, and more.
  • Utilizing advanced technology, including robotic surgical systems, to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Participating in transplant programs, focusing on organ transplants such as livers, kidneys, and hearts.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A valid RN License specific to New York State.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in a level 1 trauma environment.
  • The ability to scrub and circulate during surgical procedures.

Certifications Required:

Applicants must hold:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Compensation Details:

The compensation package includes:

  • $1,316 per week non-taxed.
  • $1,676.50 per week taxed, totaling a gross pay of $2,992.50 per week.
