Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patient condition, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with established protocols.
- Develop and implement patient education plans to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- ONS Chemo/Bio course completion within one year of employment if working on units where chemotherapy is administered.
- ACLS certification upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department.
- Vascular Access Registered Nurse (VARN) program attendance and certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) or Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) within one year of hire in Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) settings.
- Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.
- Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience in SNF care settings.
- Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or rehab experience in rehab care settings.
- Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience in ED settings.
This role requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. The ability to stand and walk for extended periods is also required. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range are necessary. The role involves working under stressful conditions and irregular hours, with exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
