Your Role:

As a Mechanical Assembly Specialist, you will be an integral part of our Assembly department, responsible for the mechanical assembly, repair, and refurbishment of electro-mechanical equipment in accordance with engineering specifications. Your expertise will ensure that we meet our production goals while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently complete subassemblies and assemblies based on detailed engineering drawings.
  • Dismantle, replace, and reassemble components of used equipment, ensuring quality and precision.
  • Conduct machine assembly tasks within specified tolerances to guarantee optimal functionality.
  • Utilize hand and power tools effectively in the assembly and repair processes.
  • Manage the uncrating and unpacking of returned equipment, as well as the crating and preparation of assembled units for shipment.
  • Safely load and unload equipment from trucks, utilizing forklifts and hand trucks as necessary.
  • Perform thorough cleaning of returned machinery using various methods including steam and sandblasting.
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites for troubleshooting, installation, and acceptance testing of equipment.
  • Adhere to safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals.

Your Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and vocational training, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and utilize precision measuring instruments. A minimum of five years of experience in the assembly of complex machinery or as a Journeyman Machinist is required.
