Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our ICU/PCU unit. This is a per diem opportunity with a variety of shift options available.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU/PCU unit
  • Assess and manage patients with complex medical and surgical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in ICU/PCU or a related critical care setting
  • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina
  • ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications required
  • Experience with arterial lines, titrating vasoactive drips, and other advanced critical care skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Epic and Pyxis systems
  • Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
