Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in a complex program supporting the Warfighter. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a mission-critical program with lasting impactful results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Derive functional, system, and performance requirements
  • Develop various systems engineering artifacts, including CONOPs and architecture diagrams
  • Develop schedules for features and perform backlog grooming
  • Write and review documentation
  • Serve as a team lead and provide engineering support to modernize and transform existing and new data formats
  • Provide cross-directorate product team support to engage stakeholders in the completion of assigned tasking
  • Document dataflow processes and designs in accordance with customer-driven data management standards and Enterprise Data Header (EDH) initiatives
Requirements
  • Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
  • Experience leading a team that implements agile scrum methodology for software development

  • Team leadership
  • Experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts
  • Participate in an Integrated Product Team to design new capabilities based upon evaluation of all necessary development and operational considerations
  • Support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process (as well as other Government Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes) required
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Agile experience
  • Experience with MS Project and/or Visio
