Job Title: Production Worker

At National Beverage, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Worker to join our team. As a Production Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, adjust, maintain, and configure processing equipment according to assigned specifications.
  • Perform visual inspections and complete documentation to ensure defect-free work.
  • Load corrugate, labels, bottles/cans, glue, carriers, etc., into appropriate machines.
  • Perform minor package change-overs on equipment as required.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and clearing debris and materials.
  • Assist line mechanics in machinery repair or other tasks as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment is on and functioning properly prior to starting a run.
  • Perform visual inspection of boxes to ensure proper box/tray usage and acceptable graphics.
  • Monitor the flow of materials into appropriate machines and clear jams as necessary.
  • Verify flavor and size according to schedule.
  • Report any major defects to the Lead person and/or Manager.
  • Monitor the machine while running and check for proper bottle/can packing into boxes.
  • Fill glue pots as necessary.
  • Verify case code is correct as scheduled.
  • Clear the machine of all products at the end of each run and shift.
  • Follow work rules at all times and adhere to GMP compliance.
  • Report any quality issues to the Lead person, QA Technician, and/or Manager.
  • Assist in relieving other operators for lunch breaks.
  • Keep the work area clean at all times.
  • Shut down all equipment at the end of the shift if the line is going down for the day.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience required.
  • Prior bottling/canning experience a plus.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Favorable background and drug test.
  • Able and willing to work a flexible Full Time schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in organizational service areas, as required by duties.
Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common information, reports, and other documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or company representatives. Ability to effectively present information to management.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. May be required to push or pull with a dolly or pallet jack up to 500 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Field positions will be exposed to various unfamiliar conditions where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn and which may include, but are not limited to: manufacturing and warehouse plants, and other venues as directed by supervisor. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but increases significantly in warehouse and manufacturing plants.
