Teach and Inspire the Next Generation
We are seeking a dedicated Hebrew Teacher to join our team at Hebrew Public. As a member of our staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them become global citizens.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction to our students. You will utilize Responsive Classroom techniques and monitor student progress while collaborating with colleagues to refine teaching practices. No prior knowledge of Hebrew is required, but we do encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply.
Your Responsibilities
- Daily Lessons: Plan, document, and carry out daily lessons that cater to the needs of individual students and the entire group.
- Curriculum Development: Teach curriculum based on state and national standards, ensuring that all students have access to high-quality education.
- Classroom Management: Establish consistent and logical limits, expectations, and classroom routines for students, creating a conducive learning environment.
- Communication: Maintain close relationships with parents through regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and participation in school events.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to share experience, knowledge, and best practices, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Professional Growth: Seek opportunities for ongoing professional development, staying updated on child development, education, and language acquisition.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Hold a degree from an accredited institution; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Teaching Experience: Possess K-12 lead teaching experience or working towards certification.
- Language Skills: Have good communication skills in English and a native or near-native level of fluency in Hebrew.
