Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Summary

As a Cardiovascular Technologist at Henry Ford Health System, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in our Cardiac Cath Labs Anc 001 department.

Key Responsibilities

Assist physicians in conducting invasive cardiac and therapeutic procedures, preparing equipment and patients, and recording hemodynamic and electrodigraphic data.

Provide patient care in accordance with physician protocols, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.

Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading relevant literature and attending conferences.

Prepare sterile set-ups of instruments and supplies for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and function as a scrub assistant to the physician.

Operate apparatus outside the laboratory, such as the Fick apparatus, blood oximeter, and densitometer, to assess physiologic parameters.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular technology, radiology, or a clinically relevant healthcare-related field.

Experience preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions

Normal laboratory environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, and other hazards.

Occasional exposure to patients with infectious diseases.
