About the Role

  • As a Maintenance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring that all equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.
  • You will be the point of contact for all maintenance-related issues and will work closely with the maintenance team to resolve any problems that may arise.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance budget, ensuring that all expenses are within budget and that the team is working efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, variable speed AC drives, power supplies, gearboxes, and pumps.
  • Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, including performance metrics and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance scheduler to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and ensure proper parts availability.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, observe and review work practices with employees, and provide job-safety training to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain the waste treatment facility, building, and grounds, ensuring that all areas are clean and well-maintained.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or equivalent role in a mid-to-large size manufacturing facility.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and troubleshooting.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with vendors, customers, and employees.
  • Ability to direct the activities of others, including establishing expectations, removing barriers, and managing performance.
