Job Summary:
Seacoast Bank is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Underwriter III to support the revenue growth and asset quality of our commercial lending line of business. As a key member of our lending team, you will be responsible for analyzing financial information, evaluating credit risk, and making informed decisions to ensure the bank's assets are well-structured and portfolio risk is mitigated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial information and credit reports to assess the borrower's and guarantor's financial condition and ability to repay a loan request.
- Prepare and present financial information, industry data, and market analysis to support credit decisions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the credit culture and loan policy to inform and advise on risk appetite and policy adherence.
- Manage loan portfolios to ensure conformity and servicing with approved terms and compliance with all loan documents.
- Collaborate with commercial bankers to negotiate loan structures and ensure timely loan closing and funding activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in commercial credit analysis, commercial lending, loan structuring, finance, underwriting, and portfolio management.
- Strong analytical and risk management skills, with the ability to apply sound judgment in credit approval and loan management recommendations.
- Familiarity with various industries and commercial property types, as well as experience evaluating economic and market conditions.
