CT Technologist Job Description

Cleveland Clinic's Euclid Hospital is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join their dedicated team of caregivers. As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of patients and providing computed tomography imaging and patient care services at defined levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for CT studies, verifying demographic data and medical history.
  • Acquire and review patient charts, requisitions, and medical problems to determine correct room setup and contraindications.
  • Verify patient safety and comfort during procedures, educating patients on equipment and exam procedures.
  • Perform daily quality assurance checks and maintain the CT area, including technical and clerical components.
  • Assist with scheduling, prepare and administer contrast media, and maintain competencies in VNA punctures.
  • Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS, and process billing via RIS.
  • Observe equipment dysfunctions and report problems, maintaining available equipment uptime.
  • Provide coverage as needed and instruct new hires and Radiology students.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), in good standing.
  • Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required within one year of hire.
  • Current state licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
