Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist

Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and imaging services using advanced ultrasound technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate images for technical quality and exercise professional judgment in the performance of images.
Provide patient care essential to procedures, including recognizing patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiating life support measures.
Perform all aspects of clerical duties essential to running an efficient department, including maintaining equipment and participating in QA programs.
Assist in film retrieval from off-site storage facilities and train on the Hospital Pacs system (synapse) and Hospital Information system.
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program required.
RDMS Certification in one of the following areas: Abdomen, OB/GYN required.
Experience in vascular preferred, with a minimum of two years' experience as a sonographer.
Ability to maintain quality control standards, work independently with minimal supervision, and multi-task efficiently and effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, management, and peers.
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to pinpoint areas of imaging, as well as common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Must be able to act calmly and effectively in busy, stressful, or emergency situations, adhering to all policies and procedures, including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance.
