About the Job:
This role is focused on providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, working closely with licensed medical professionals. As a Polysomnographic Technician Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting polysomnograms and MSLTs in accordance with clinical practice guidelines and departmental policies.
- Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of polysomnographic equipment.
- Prioritizing workloads and schedules to efficiently manage patient testing.
- Collaborating with team members to accurately document billing information and maintain department records.
Requirements:
Essential Skills:
* Possession of current BCLS certification.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Holding an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
* Completion of a polysomnography course or an approved sleep lab training program.
* Knowledge of basic EEG principles.
* Certification as RPSGT, CRT, RRT, or LPN.
* Previous experience in sleep study testing.
The salary range for this role is approximately $50,000 - $70,000 annually, contingent on factors such as location and qualifications.
