GI Scheduler- Digestive Disease Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented GI Scheduler- Digestive Disease to join our team at the University of California. As a key member of our digestive disease department, you will provide direct support to our Gastroenterology physicians and patients, ensuring seamless coordination of procedures and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a liaison between patients and physicians, facilitating effective communication and coordination of care.
- Schedule procedures and coordinate tasks to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services.
- Assist patients in accessing services within our health system, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Facilitate communication with referring physicians, ensuring timely and accurate exchange of information.
- Refer patients to appropriate resources and provide follow-up support through telephone and electronic communication.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with faculty, staff, administration, and patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients in varying degrees of health.
- Ability to provide coverage for community clinics as assigned.
- Knowledge of specific specialty practice and workflows.
- Working knowledge of patient-related policies and procedures, as well as a thorough understanding of the University system and its services and programs.
- Familiarity with hospital computer systems and personal computer systems, including software products used for administrative work.
