Bus Driver Substitute

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bus Driver Substitute to join our team at the Orting School District. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with students and have a strong passion for providing safe and secure transportation services.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $39,523 - $53,543, depending on experience and qualifications. As a bus driver substitute, you will be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, and long-term disability coverage.

As a bus driver substitute, your primary responsibility will be to transport students safely and efficiently between school and home. Your duties will include:

• Operating a school bus in accordance with district policies and procedures

• Providing exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff

• Maintaining a clean and organized bus environment

• Ensuring student safety and well-being during transportation

• Completing pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus

• Communicating effectively with dispatchers and other school staff

To be considered for this position, you must:

• Hold a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement

• Have at least five years of experience driving a passenger vehicle

• Pass a background check and physical examination

• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
