Job Summary

This is a professional position with overall responsibility for the management of all Central Texas College facilities and construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in facilities management and construction, with experience in a college or university setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the activities of Facilities Management, facilities design and construction, and renovation and maintenance of existing facilities.
  • Direct the operations and supervise all aspects of Facilities and Construction, including Building Maintenance, Vehicle Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, Custodial Services, Grounds and Streets, Police Services, and Utility Services.
  • Coordinate and communicate with college personnel at all levels and across the organization, demonstrating excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Foster effective teamwork, communication and collaboration within Facilities and Construction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education, preferably in an Engineering, Architectural or Business-related field.
  • Master's degree in related field is preferred.
  • Five or more years' facilities and construction related management experience, preferably in a college or university setting with a bachelor's degree.
  • Two or more years' facilities and construction management experience within a college or university with a master's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to develop annual budgets for each department and capital budgets for construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in a college or university setting.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, with working hours of Monday through Thursday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, and Friday, 7:30am to 11:30am.
