Job Description Seafood Department Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Seafood Specialist to join our team at our Mountain View location. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the freshness and quality of our seafood offerings while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Display & Merchandising: Set up fresh seafood cases, ensure proper signage, and merchandise products according to company standards. Showcase quality and freshness to drive sales.
  • Sales Floor Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized sales floor by keeping aisles clear of debris and boxes.
  • Replenishment & Inventory Management: Unload deliveries, break down shipments, refill products, and rotate stock for freshness. Monitor cooler/freezer temperatures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Seafood Processing: Skin, clean, and cut fish according to customer requests. Prepare seafood products by frying or steaming upon request. Maintain fryer and steamer cleanliness through daily oil changes and sanitation.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by proactively assisting customers with their needs and answering questions about our seafood selection.
  • Quality Control: Inspect incoming seafood shipments for quality and freshness. Monitor displayed products to ensure optimal condition and remove any expired or damaged items.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in a retail environment, particularly within a seafood department, is preferred. Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential.
