We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Imaging Department Labor Pool as a Patient Care Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.
Job SummaryThe Patient Care Specialist will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients in the Imaging Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Assess patients before, during, and after procedures to provide appropriate care and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Perform procedures such as vital sign checks, medication administration, and guided-needle biopsies with precision and attention to detail.
- Delegate tasks effectively to prioritize quality patient care and ensure that patient needs are met.
- Evaluate emergency situations quickly and respond accordingly to maintain a safe and stable environment.
- Develop and implement individualized patient education plans to ensure comprehensive understanding and empowerment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate seamless transitions to the next level of care.
- Document all clinical and quality activities accurately and consistently according to Riverside Health System standards.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing (Diploma accepted)
- 1 year of related experience in a hospital setting
- Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia or compact state
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute
- ACLS certification
