Job Title: Mission Assurance Staff Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Mission Assurance Staff Engineer to join our team in Clearwater, FL.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented engineer to support our mission assurance efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and monitoring quality and mission excellence (QME) program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and monitor QME program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs.
  • Perform or assure quality, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Assess program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure QME effectiveness.
  • Responsible for QME task delegation and establishing budgets and spend plans.
  • Works alongside the Cost Account Manager (CAM) to support program Earned Value (EV) analysis and establish budget baselines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or other technical field such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • A minimum of 12 years of related experience in supporting systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, software development, software test processes, or program management.
  • Active DOD Secret clearance.
  • Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR and FAR/DFARS.
  • Solid written and verbal interpersonal, communication skills and confidence to brief senior management with solid foundation in Quality and Mission Excellence applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Excellent data analysis skills, Strong presentation & communication skills, Demonstrated experience in interfacing seamlessly with cross-functional teams, suppliers, customers and major subcontract parts.
Salary Range:

$142,500.00 - $213,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
