Peraton is a leading national security company that delivers trusted solutions and technologies to protect our nation and allies. We are seeking a highly skilled SIGINT Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD.

The ideal candidate will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community, requiring 1880 hours of support per year. The work will be performed at a customer location.

As a Terrestrial SIGINT Systems Engineer, you will support a customer terrestrial sensors team in tracking, monitoring, and facilitating planning for the deployment, upgrade, and replacement of Terrestrial SIGINT collection and processing systems. You will:

  • Capture and document requirements for new and updated systems, as well as coordinate and track sensor projects from requirements to analysis, buildout, deployment, installation, testing, and transition to operations.
  • Participate in numerous meetings, working groups, and integrated product teams to monitor systems engineering plans, development, and deployment of space and ground processing systems.
  • Work closely with government Systems Engineers to reengineer existing SIGINT ground architecture, eliminating collection/processing stovepipes and replacing deprecated systems with automated, dynamically tasked, multi-access cross-cued, and orchestrated collections/processing systems.
  • Produce system engineering and technical documentation, develop master schedules, and support validation and verification activities.
  • Provide exercise support as needed to assist in developing and testing new capabilities.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least 15 years of systems engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of National SIGINT technologies, capabilities, associated system architectural components (space systems, ground stations, ground processing systems), and knowledge of the national collection requirements prioritization system and associated processes.
  • An understanding of policy constraints associated with lawful SIGINT operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Salary and Benefits

This position offers an estimated salary range of $146,000 - $234,000, based on experience and other factors. Peraton provides enhanced benefits to employees working on critical National Security programs, including heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage, 25 days of PTO accrued annually, and eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan.
