As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the facility are clean and well-maintained, adhering to facility policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, as well as cleaning bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets.
  • Clean glass surfaces, such as mirrors, pictures, and windows, and dust/damp clean surfaces in patient/resident rooms.
  • Move furniture to clean behind and underneath, and turn bed mattresses after cleaning.
  • Empties trash cans, cleans exterior, and replaces with a clean can liner.
  • Follow infection control standards while performing cleaning tasks.
  • Prevent/removes wax/dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways.
  • Changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for the outside windows as needed.
  • Removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies for the outside windows, using a ladder.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods of time.
