Job Summary:

We are seeking applicants to create a pool of Adjunct Clinical Nursing Instructors to teach in the clinical setting at the Clarkston campus. This position is eligible for a Nursing Educator retention bonus of $1,000 per quarter and a signing bonus of $1,000 per quarter, which will be paid on top of the quarterly compensation for teaching.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach assigned clinical groups and prepare teaching material specific to the clinical agency.
  • Assign clinical performance grades and maintain records.
  • Consult with students as required by the lead faculty.
  • Assist full-time instructors in instruction, clinical, and advising of LPN/ADN students.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing and 3 years nursing work experience required.
  • Registered or eligible to be a Registered Nurse in Washington and Idaho state required.
  • Experience in medical-surgical nursing required.
  • Master's degree in nursing desired.

Conditions/Terms of Employment:

WWCC is no longer required to collect COVID-19 vaccine information, however, some hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare institutions where WWCC Nursing faculty may conduct business in, may require the COVID-19 and other vaccinations.

This is a part-time instruction assignment contingent on enrollment and located at the Clarkston Campus. Persons hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of lawful employment to work in the United States within three (3) days of employment and provide transcripts. Candidates may be subject to a criminal history background check as a condition of employment.

Benefits:

Compensation for adjunct instruction is contingent on enrollment and paid in accordance with the contract between the WWCC Board of Trustees and the WWCC Association for Higher Education. Placement on the faculty salary schedule will commensurate with the educational background and experience per the Faculty Negotiated Agreement.

This position is eligible for a Nursing Educator retention bonus of $1,000 per quarter and a signing bonus of $1,000 per quarter, which will be paid on top of the quarterly compensation for teaching.
