Pharmacist - Patient Care and Safety Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and administration of medications, as well as the proper disposal of hazardous waste.
- Pharmacy Professional Practice: Maintain a high level of professional competence and adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Requirements: Stay up-to-date on all relevant laws and regulations, and ensure compliance in your pharmacy.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients and customers, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Personnel Management: Supervise and develop your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies and medications as needed, and maintaining accurate records.
- Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of your pharmacy by managing costs, optimizing workflows, and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Loss Prevention: Implement measures to prevent loss and ensure the security of your pharmacy.
- Workflow Management: Develop and implement efficient workflows to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
Requirements:
- Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA).
- Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
