Job Overview:

Banner Health is a leading nonprofit healthcare provider seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Direct Observation Unit team in Glendale, Arizona.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our fast-paced Direct Observation Unit. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identify their physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, and discharge planning needs, and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Implementation and Evaluation: Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the activities of the healthcare team. Evaluate patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
  • Documentation and Communication: Accurately and completely document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Quality and Safety: Participate in quality and safety initiatives to ensure a safe and effective delivery of patient care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify and address potential safety risks and quality concerns.

Requirements:

  • Education and Licensure: Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in the state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with a focus on direct observation and monitoring of patients.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications may be necessary based on area of practice.

Compensation and Benefits:

Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
