Material Handler

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team at The Reserves Network Inc. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our tobacco processing operations.

• Material Handling: Remove stems, off-color tobacco, and foreign material from tobacco as it moves along conveyor belts to ensure clean and uniform product.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Lift objects by hand and clean work areas, machines, and equipment using brooms and rags to assist machine operators and supervisors.
• Material Shoveling: Shovel loose materials such as sand, gravel, metals, plastics, or tobacco into machine hoppers or containers.
• Picking and Sorting: Drop pickings into buckets attached to conveyor frames or into buckets on the floor, according to whether pickings are dark tobacco, green tobacco, tobacco with stems, or foreign material.
• Box Building: Build boxes manually by hand, pull or remove wires from tobacco bails.
• Teamwork and Coordination: Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Dependability: Demonstrate reliability and accountability in performing tasks and meeting deadlines.

• Previous Experience: Previous experience in tobacco processing or a related industry is a plus but not required.
• Physical Demands: Ability to perform repetitive motions and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

• Competitive Pay: $18.70 hourly rate of pay (dependent on shift).
