The Patient Services Coordinator III plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of patient information and appointment scheduling. This position is accountable for the precise documentation of patient demographics, insurance details, charges, and collections. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for scheduling patient appointments promptly and accurately, while also engaging in cross-training across various administrative support roles.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of clerical experience in a medical office environment is required. Other relevant experience may be considered in lieu of direct medical office experience.
- Essential Skills: Proficiency in medical office software for updating patient demographic information, processing charges, collecting copays, and scheduling appointments is essential. Strong verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities are necessary. The role demands interaction with individuals from diverse cultures and various levels of authority, while maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating teamwork. Initiative and a foundational understanding of medical terminology are required, which can be acquired through formal education or practical experience. A high level of familiarity with EPIC systems and detailed knowledge of multiple payor billing requirements is essential. Familiarity with coding requirements specific to practice specialties is preferred.
- Preferred Skills: Proficiency in all software utilized within the practice is advantageous.
