Position Overview
Rand & Co. Holdings, a prominent private investment firm, is seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Associate to enhance our investment team. Our firm is recognized for its diverse portfolio and commitment to delivering outstanding value to clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Analysis & Diligence: Spearhead the investment analysis process, managing due diligence, underwriting, and financing activities. Ensure the creation of thorough investment committee materials throughout the diligence process.
- Deal Structuring & Execution: Take an active role in structuring and executing new investments, including negotiating and finalizing both new platform investments and add-on acquisitions.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with Rand & Co.'s operational team and portfolio companies on financial and strategic initiatives, including the development and management of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Board Participation: Engage as a member of the Board of Directors for portfolio companies, collaborating extensively with senior management and external board members.
- Exit Strategies: Play a significant role in developing exit monetization strategies, encompassing recaps, sales processes, and other exit options.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior investment professionals, supporting their growth and development.
- Industry Research: Lead targeted industry research and thematic investment initiatives to uncover trends and opportunities within preferred sectors.
- Presentation & Reporting: Excel in synthesizing incomplete or fragmented information into clear, coherent investment committee-level presentations, ensuring concise and well-structured outputs.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience at top-tier global or reputable middle-market strategy consulting firms, or 3-5 years at leading global investment banks, or a combination of both. Alternatively, 2+ years of experience at private equity or credit investment firms.
- Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with a deep understanding of financial markets. Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work effectively within a team.
- Initiative: High level of self-motivation and initiative, with a strong desire to contribute to the firm's success.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: A keen interest in transitioning towards entrepreneurship, private equity, or principal investing.
- Education: A strong academic background from a leading undergraduate institution; an MBA is advantageous but not mandatory.
