Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

Soliant is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a temporary full-time position for the first semester of the upcoming school year.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled SLP to work with students in grades K-5th who have a wide range of speech-language-related disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social, communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the communication skills of referred students and diagnose speech and/or language disorders.
  • Perform evaluations on referred students and make treatment recommendations.
  • Participate in and/or conduct individualized education plans (IEPs) staffing to determine student needs.
  • Assure the placement of students in the Speech-Language Pathologist program and support SLP objectives on IEPs.
  • Schedule students appropriately and provide consultative services to teachers, parents, admins, and allied agencies to integrate educational goals into the classroom and home environment.
Requirements
  • Illinois state licensure
  • Relevant experience in an SLP-School setting
