Position Summary:
The Warehouse Operations Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and processing incoming inventory, fulfilling orders, packing and shipping items, and managing stock organization within the warehouse. This role may also involve operating Bucket Trucks and forklifts.
Desired Skills:
- Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one
- Professional demeanor and conduct at all times
- Trained in OSHA 10 Hour, CPR, and First Aid
- Ability to maintain high productivity levels while ensuring accuracy
- Strong communication skills
Essential Hiring Criteria:
References, Background Check, Drug Screening, Valid Driver's License.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and verifying merchandise
- Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials, packing boxes, and organizing delivery areas
- Sort and store materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to established standards
- Open bales, crates, and other containers
- Maintain inventory control by tracking stock locations, recording received or distributed items, and assisting with physical inventory counts
- Prepare parcels for shipping
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by organizing shelves, pallet areas, and workstations; perform cleaning duties as needed
- Wear appropriate safety equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical to operate delivery vehicles
- License: Class A CDL preferred, required within 6 months of employment
- Certification: OSHA 10 required within 30 days of hire
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience: Prior forklift and warehouse experience required
Working Conditions:
- Job entails working in various weather conditions; heat, cold, rain, or snow
- Warehouse environment may vary in climate control
- Ability to work from ladders and transport them safely
- Must be able to perform tasks at heights of up to 90 feet
- May operate forklifts and hand trucks
- Must wear all required personal protective equipment
- Availability to work 40 hours per week, including potential overtime, night shifts, weekends, and travel
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to identify colors of wires and other items as necessary
- Capable of safely using required power tools and construction equipment
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to safety procedures outlined in the Company Safety Handbook
- Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting of lighter items
- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders and perform repetitive motions with arms and hands
