We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our team at Verify.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies in the aerospace and defense industry.
Key Responsibilities- Perform in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, composite parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
- Utilize customer processes and inspection/reporting requirements to ensure quality standards are met.
- Report inspection results via web application.
- Work in a manufacturing environment and provide PPE if required by supplier.
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or squat if required for inspection.
- Practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, composite parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Knowledge of GD&T per ANSI Y14.5 and experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard.
- Minimum 5 years' experience inspecting Complex Machine Parts/Assemblies/Composite Parts.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
- Knowledge of tight tolerance is required.
