About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at HSS. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tests and procedures to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all required immunological and serological procedures using a variety of equipment.
  • Prepare solutions and reagents used in all tests, with particular attention to viability, lot number and expiration date of substance before using in the performance of tests.
  • Process stat specimens expeditiously.
  • Participate in the QA/PI process and improve performance based on results obtained from QI activities.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary health care teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
  • NYS Clinical Laboratory license and registration required.
  • 1 year of experience in immunology or serology.
  • ASCP preferred.
