Job Summary

As a Lead Certified Nursing Assistant at Comfort Keepers, you will be responsible for leading a team of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in providing high-quality, compassionate care to elderly clients. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our clients receive the best possible care, while also mentoring and training new team members to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Team of CNAs: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of Certified Nursing Assistants, ensuring that they are working together to provide excellent care to our clients.
  • Coordinate Care Plans: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for our clients, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
  • Train and Mentor New CNAs: Provide guidance and support to new team members, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to provide high-quality care.
  • Monitor Client Health Status: Regularly assess the health status of our clients, identifying any changes or concerns that may require attention.
  • Document and Report: Accurately document and report any changes in client health status, medication administration, or other relevant information to the appropriate healthcare providers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience as a CNA: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, preferably in a home care or healthcare setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of CNAs, with a focus on providing excellent care and support to clients.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
