SBM Management Services is seeking a skilled Floor Technician to join our team. As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of commercial and office spaces. Responsibilities

• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with other employees to complete assignments and achieve team goals.
• Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and rules to maintain a high level of professionalism.
• Take direction and respond to supervision in a timely and professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional and respectful manner.
• Fulfill staff shortages in custodial, recycle, or maintenance roles as needed.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Use proper personal protective equipment required for assigned tasks to ensure safety and well-being.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Understand and demonstrate customer service and satisfaction principles.
• Understand and utilize reporting systems and environmental awareness.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors, including tile, carpet, and brick flooring.
• Complete work assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
• Utilize appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Use and maintain equipment properly to ensure longevity and efficiency.
• Operate and maintain all equipment correctly and safely to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Always observe safety precautions, including using safety signs such as "wet floor".
• Ability to work without normal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks and assignments.
• Report safety hazards as appropriate to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the janitorial industry required, with floor/carpet care expertise preferred.
• A drug test will be required, and 3+ years of experience is preferred. Must pass SBM Background checks, along with Pre-employment Drug screening & E-Verify.
• Floor Care experience and using machinery are required. A valid Driver's License is also required.
• General Knowledge of Care Floor and Scrubbing Techniques is essential.

Work Schedule

Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Thursday - Saturday: 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM

Compensation

$16.50 per hour
