POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Lead Information Security Specialist will leverage extensive expertise, concepts, and analytical capabilities in Information Security to guide and support the management and administration of security services across various domains, including:

- Security Controls and Monitoring
- User Access and Identity Management
- Security Reporting and Tools
- Awareness and Communication Initiatives


This role will assist the Enterprise Information Security (EIS) Directors and Regional Health Ministry (RHM) Information Security Managers in ensuring that all projects and services comply with Trinity Health's Information Security and regulatory standards while fulfilling business objectives.

The Specialist will establish and maintain security reporting protocols to ensure that security measures are effectively implemented. They will serve as a resource and advocate for information security across different RHM areas and system-wide initiatives, aiding business owners in addressing security challenges.

The Specialist will plan and execute security initiatives, resolve intricate security issues, and mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities within the Information Security framework. They will also develop and uphold comprehensive information security metrics, dashboards, and scorecards to enhance visibility into existing control effectiveness and identify gaps.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in all actions and decisions.

- Design and manage one or more information security domains.

Provide technical consultation and support in identifying, assessing, and documenting the use of systems and related services to ensure adherence to EIS policies.

Specify the requirements for effective technical solutions and tools necessary for executing an Information Security Metrics program.

- Analyze and present information security metrics to provide insights into control health and vulnerabilities.


Offer guidance on enterprise security protocols, technologies, and design processes; collaborate with business stakeholders to define Information Security procedures.

Work in conjunction with other security professionals and Security Managers to standardize industry best practices in information security.

- Contribute to the development of departmental procedures, standards, and documentation for all information security services, utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Engage in the creation of annual objectives and tactical plans, prioritizing infrastructure investments and maintenance related to IT security.


Act as a representative for the EIS Director on relevant matters and serve as a liaison with RHM Security and Privacy Officials.

Participate in promoting Information Security awareness and contribute to site-specific meetings.

Assist in the formulation and execution of annual objectives and tactical plans aligned with strategic initiatives.

Monitor and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with TIS objectives.


Ensure that all projects and services align with Trinity Health's Information Security and regulatory standards while achieving business goals.


Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable Federal, State, and local laws/regulations, as well as the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct, to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects ethical and professional behavior.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in information services, including at least three (3) years in information security, with experience in compliance with federal and state security regulations.

Must possess a solid understanding of enterprise security best practices related to the implementation and management of security solutions.

- Familiarity with HIPAA, ISO 27001/2, FISMA, FIPS, and NIST security standards.

- Experience in conducting administrative and technical assessments and enforcing organizational compliance.


- Must be a team player, supportive, and dedicated to excellence, demonstrating a high level of initiative and self-motivation.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS


- Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities and effectively balance the demands of collaborating with multiple members of the Enterprise Information Security team.


- Must be able to communicate regularly, both in person and over the phone, with individuals in various locations regarding technical issues.

Manual dexterity is required to operate a keyboard, and hearing is necessary for extensive communication.

- Must be willing to travel to various Trinity Health sites (25%). (may or may not be applicable)
