Desktop Support Engineer

As a Help Desk Specialist at mPower, Inc., you will be responsible for delivering top-notch technical support to our diverse staff and end-users. This includes providing hardware and software support, configuring and installing IT devices, and ensuring the secure operation of these devices.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in IT customer support. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting both Mac and Windows operating systems, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Suite. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the maintenance of desktop support SOPs and training manuals, and to help build and improve the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware and Software Support: Provide technical assistance for hardware and software issues, including configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of IT devices.
- Enhanced VIP Support: Offer premium support services to high-profile users, including device configuration, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Security Configuration: Implement security measures to ensure the secure operation of IT devices.
- Software Support: Assist users with software-related issues, including government-provided applications.
- Ticket Management: Manage and resolve trouble tickets efficiently, ensuring timely closure with customers and in the system.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or associate degree or H.S. diploma with at least six years of relevant work experience.
- Experience: At least three years of relevant work experience in IT customer support, or an associate degree or H.S. diploma with at least six years of relevant work experience.
- Certifications: Hold or obtain one or more of the following certifications within three months of hire: Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITIL) v3 or higher, MTA: Microsoft Technology Associate, MCSA: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, MSCE: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, Apple Certified Associate – Mac Integration Basics, Apple Certified Support Professional, CompTIA A+ Certified Professional, CompTIA Network+ Certified Professional, CompTIA Security+ Certified Professional, Jamf Certified Tech, or Jamf Certified Expert.
