Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders in students, facilitating their ability to achieve academic success and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' specific needs.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with School Professionals: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy into the classroom.
  • Maintain Detailed Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, and student progress.
  • Participate in IEP Meetings: Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and recommendations.
  • Perform Screenings and Consultations: Perform screenings and provide consultation services as necessary.
  • Stay Current with Developments: Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate evidence-based practices into therapy.
  • Educate and Support School Staff: Educate and support school staff on issues related to speech and language development.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Maine State License: Valid Maine state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Maine Department of Education Certification: Maine Department of Education certification for Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Thorough Knowledge of IDEA: Thorough knowledge of IDEA and other relevant special education regulations.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to Work Collaboratively: Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in a School Environment: Experience in a school environment is preferred but not required.
