Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and coordinate the development and completion of the Resident Assessment Document in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Review unit charts daily to ensure accurate MDS documentation.
  • Collaborate with Health Information Management to ensure critical updates are addressed.
  • Provide in-service training to licensed staff on MDS procedures.
  • Notify the ADON of any issues impacting the MDS process.
  • Participate in the Manager on Duty Program.
Requirements:
  • Requires a basic understanding of specialized knowledge, typically acquired through four years of high school and two to three years of college, plus relevant licensure/certification.
  • Must hold a current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and meet training and certification requirements.
  • Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds continuously to move objects and/or people.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods, with occasional bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, climbing, kneeling, walking, and standing.
