Elderly Care Specialist

Inlet Coastal Resorts seeks a compassionate and dedicated Elderly Care Specialist to provide exceptional care to residents with memory impairments at our assisted living facility for 2nd Shift.
As an Elderly Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitoring residents' safety and health, and providing individualized care plans tailored to their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist Residents with Daily Living Tasks: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.
- Monitor Residents' Well-being: Monitor residents' physical and emotional health, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff promptly.
- Develop Individualized Care Plans: Create personalized care plans based on residents' preferences and needs, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained.
- Maintain Resident Safety: Implement fall prevention measures and provide supervision during activities to ensure residents' safety and security.
- Provide Dementia-Specific Support: Encourage participation in memory care activities designed to stimulate cognitive function and enhance quality of life, while maintaining a secure environment to reduce the risk of wandering or unsafe behaviors.
- Build Positive Relationships: Foster meaningful relationships with residents through conversations and interactions, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
- Accurate Documentation: Accurately document care provided, changes in residents' conditions, and any incidents in compliance with facility policies.
- Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with residents' families and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Certification: CNA Certificate in SC and maintain CNA certification
- Experience: 3 years or more of CNA experience
- Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, previous experience in caregiving or healthcare, Certification in CPR and First Aid, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to work effectively in a team environment, Compassionate and patient demeanor
