Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans for patients in Acute Care settings.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and cognitive abilities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on proper techniques and strategies for daily living and rehabilitation.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in occupational therapy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current occupational therapy license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Acute Care settings, with a focus on rehabilitation and patient-centered care.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and research in occupational therapy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and communication.
