Job Summary:

The Funeral Director/Embalmer will be responsible for facilitating funeral arrangement discussions with next of kin, presiding over visitation, funeral, and graveside services, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws. This role requires a strong understanding of mortuary science, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with families during a difficult time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate funeral arrangement discussions with next of kin, ensuring that their needs and wishes are met.
  • Preside over visitation, funeral, and graveside services, adhering to company standards and local, state, and federal laws.
  • Ensure compliance with mortuary, health, and vital statistics regulations within the funeral establishment.
  • Perform embalming responsibilities, following company processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and high-quality results.
Requirements:
  • Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science.
  • Current Funeral Director and Embalmer dual license within the practicing state.
  • Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Industry experience preferred.

Work Environment:

The Funeral Director/Embalmer will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders. A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required for this role.
