Pediatric Speech Therapist

Position Overview:
The Pediatric Speech Therapist provides therapeutic services in accordance with Early Intervention (EI) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) guidelines. This role involves active participation in the execution of a child's Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) and/or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), focusing on direct interventions to promote the child's developmental progress.
The therapist is responsible for conducting evaluations related to speech and language, adhering to established clinical standards and the policies of the Golisano Center for Special Needs (GCSN) Interdisciplinary Diagnostic Team (IDT).
In addition, the therapist engages in post-conference discussions, family meetings, and follow-up actions; prepares comprehensive documentation; monitors the evaluation process; coordinates with families, relevant agencies, and professionals; and compiles team summaries.
The therapist also designs and implements follow-up programs in collaboration with the IDT and offers short-term consultation services as time allows. Participation in professional training initiatives is also a key component of this role.Essential Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, New York State licensure, clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or its equivalent), and completion of a one-year clinical fellowship are required.
A minimum of three years of pertinent experience in Speech Language Pathology, particularly with children with disabilities, is essential. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in interdisciplinary teamwork, effective report writing, and possess strong computer skills. Current CPR/BLS certification is also mandatory at the time of appointment.

This position requires a commitment of four days per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
